The deal, in plain words.

The deal

Docmode gives you a place to write, organise, share and publish documents. It is run by Innovadea, registered in the Netherlands under KVK 42150287, VAT NL005536629B88. You get an account, you agree to use it reasonably, and these terms describe what reasonable means.

Your content is yours

You own everything you write here. By using the product you give us only the permission we need to store your documents, show them to people you share them with, serve them as public pages when you publish them, and send text to the AI when you ask for it. Nothing more.

Who can sign up

You need to be at least sixteen, and old enough where you live to agree to something like this. One person, one account. You are responsible for what happens under yours, which is why two factor sign in, device alerts and the session list are on every plan rather than only the paid one.

What you agree not to do

Do not use Docmode to publish content that is illegal, that harasses people, or that impersonates someone. Do not try to break into other accounts, overload the service, or resell access. The API and the MCP connection have request limits, and working around them counts as overloading. We can remove content or close accounts that do these things.

Paying for it

The free plan costs nothing and stays free. Pro is 9 euros a month or 90 euros a year, before VAT, which is added at checkout according to where you are. Payment is handled by Stripe and no card details ever reach us.

A subscription renews by itself until you cancel. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, so you keep Pro until then rather than losing it the moment you press the button. We do not offer refunds for time already elapsed, and if we ever break something badly enough to deserve one, ask and we will talk about it like adults.

What happens when a plan changes

Nothing is deleted for being outside a plan. If you move from Pro back to Free, versions older than 30 days stop being shown but stay where they are and come back if you upgrade again. Published pages keep working and get the small footer line back. Files you have already uploaded stay, even if they put you over the smaller storage allowance; you just cannot add more until you are under it.

The AI, and what it costs

Each plan includes a number of AI actions a month, stated on the pricing page. The AI is a tool and not an oracle: what it produces is suggested to you and only becomes part of your document if you keep it, and you are responsible for what you publish. If you supply your own Anthropic key, that usage is billed to you by Anthropic and is not counted here.

The service, honestly

Docmode is a young product built by one person. We work to keep it up and to keep your data safe, and you should still keep copies of anything you cannot afford to lose; Markdown export exists for exactly that. The service is provided as is. Our liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before whatever went wrong.

Changing these terms

If prices or limits change, we will say so on the pricing page and by email before it affects your account, and a change never applies to a period you have already paid for. If you do not like a change, cancelling and exporting is always available.

Ending things

You can stop using Docmode at any time and take your documents with you through export. You can delete the account yourself in settings, which removes everything in it, takes down any page you published, and removes documents you own from the people you shared them with. We can close an account that breaks the rules above, and will say why unless the law stops us.

Which law applies

Dutch law, and the courts of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protections of the law where you live.
